Under the TUBITAK-Wiley 2026–2028 Open Access Agreement, an email announcement regarding the current status of the open access article quotas allocated for use in Gold and Hybrid journals in 2026 is provided below for your information.
"Gold journals: The article quota allocated for 2026 has been fully exhausted as of 12 August 2026. Consequently, as previously specified in the agreement criteria, APC support under the agreement will not be provided for articles accepted in Gold journals until the end of the year.
- The quotas allocated for Gold and Hybrid journals are tracked separately. Consequently, the availability of a quota for Hybrid journals does not imply that open access support for Gold journals continues.
- Even if articles have previously been conditionally accepted or an open access application has already been initiated for Gold journals, the APCs for such articles cannot be covered under the TUBITAK-Wiley Open Access Agreement due to the 2026 Gold article quota having been exhausted.
Hybrid journals: There is a quota of 189 articles for 2026. Until the quota is exhausted, open access support will continue to be provided for articles that meet the terms of the agreement.
